| BREEDER PROBLEMS I recently received the following e-mail from a lady in Canada who almost bought one of my puppies. She decided to go elsewhere to buy a Yorkie. I am sad to say this is an all-too common occurrence with unscrupulous breeders. Be careful when you buy a Yorkie! After you read this sad letter, please go to my YorkieLove page to read some happy letters from happy Yorkie families. Nancy Hi Nancy, It's a long story and sad for me. The last Yorkie I bought I paid $1200. for her and we are on disability. That's why I wanted to sell some puppies to make some money. The puppy I bought had a cough and hair loss. After I bought her she told me that she was selling her for a friend to help her out. She told me, after I bought her, that she would send the registration later because she had to get it from her friend. Then I found out this friend is in the United States and she had to get in touch with her to get her registration papers. This went on for a while and I never got her health papers either. I'm still trying and I got an e-mail the other day for me to get in touch with this friend of hers. I told her that should be up to her as she sold me the puppy. So, after a few weeks, I decided to e-mail her with no answer so I called her on the phone and only got an answering machine. I left her a message and she e-mailed me and said if I buy another puppy or two from her she will send the registration to me along with the other puppies. I told her that I spent all the money we have for the puppy. I begged her to send it to me and told her that is her responsibility as a breeder to give it to me. She wrote me back and said that she does not owe me anything as she never sold it to me. I wish I had waited for your puppy. I'm crying as I write this e-mail. How can I sell puppies without a registration to prove that they are purebred? I won't get much for them. I've been had. I'm very upset because we had to pay shipping as well for the puppy. I just don't know what to do. I really believed her. I'm so sad about the whole thing. Do you have any ideas for me? Thanks, Sandy |
